ASHELY'S REMAINS NEVER LEFT THE STATE. HER MOTHER OBTAINED THE REMAINDER OF THEM SHORTLY AFTER THE FIRE. SHE RECEIVED TWO BOXES OF ASHES WEIGHING ABOUT 24 LBS EACH. SHE DIDNT REQUEST FOR THE ASHES TO BE SPLIT UP.

THE POLICE WERE CALLED MULTIPLE TIMES THAT WEEK OVER REPORTED CRIME. THE OFFICIALS KNEW IT WAS A CRIME-FILLED HOUSE THAT THESE DEALERS OCCUPIED. The HOUSE WAS ON MAIN STREET WHERE EVERYTHING IS CLUSTERED TOGETHER. THEY MADE IT OUT LIKE SINCE SHE WAS AT A KNOWN DRUG HOUSE, IT WAS NOT WORTH THEIR TIME. THE FACT THEY KNEW IT WAS A DRUG HOUSE THEN WHY WAS IT STILL IN OPERATION? THE FACT THAT THE DETS KEPT ASKING US "WELL, WHERE WAS SHE AT?" REALLY MADE US UPSET. THEY KNEW WHERE SHE WAS AT WAS A DRUG-RELATED HOUSE THAT NEIGHBORS CALLED ON EVERY OTHER DAY... BUT CAN'T TELL US WHO SHE WAS WITH, WHEN DID SHE GET THERE, WHO WAS WITH HER EARLIER THAT DAY? OR CONTACT THE PERSON WHO FORGOT HIS BELONGINGS IN HER VAN?

THE FAMILY REACHED OUT T0 FOX 19 TO EXPLAIN THE 2 YEAR UPDATE WAS FALSE AND HOW IT AFFECTED HER MOTHER. HOWEVER, THEY WERE "TOO BUSY" AND "UNABLE" TO TALK. THE REPORTER REFERRED US TO TALK WITH THE POLICE ABOUT OUR ISSUE.

WHEN WE CONTACTED THE POST, THEY INFORMED US THAT THEY WERE JUST WAITING ON DNA TO CLOSE THE CASE. THEY EXPLAINED TO US IF WE DIDN'T LIKE THE WAY THE CASE WAS INVESTIGATED THEN WE SHOULD HIRE A PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR. AS OF THAT PHONE CALL, ASHLEY'S MOTHER WAS ONLY CONTACTED TWICE. THE FIRST TIME WAS TO INFORM HER THAT HER DAUGHTER'S VAN WAS PARKED OUTSIDE OF A BURNT DOWN HOUSE WHERE A BODY WAS DISCOVERED. THE 2ND TIME SHE WAS CONTACTED WAS TO COLLECT A DNA SAMPLE TO COMPARE WITH THE VICTIMS.

We later found out the DNA was never sent until the day we called the post to ask them about the news clip. Three months later, the results are in. It's her.

Is it normal for someone to receive two boxes of ashes from the crematory? Each one weighing around 24lbs?
